No. 4 Jiffy again! (not cornbread)

Howdy everybody!  How’s this good Sunday going for you all?…I hope well; I’m all right too…Just sitting her watching Snapped and eating a salami sandwich….This share is about a dress I made quite a while ago; in January to be exact….I whipped up Simplicity pattern #1252….There is only one view with this pattern but two lengths….the one I whipped up was hemmed just above the knee; the other view is right at the knee….of course I LOVE this pattern because its so simple…only two main pattern pieces and some facings…the dress whipped up pretty quick too; in a jiffy if you will (pun sew intended; twice)…..

I used a pique I had been hoarding but when I got ready to sew this pattern I remembered I had it…I got the fabric from Hancock’s Fabrics on sale….it was labeled a fashion fabric and  was about 5 dollars a yard when I bought it….if I would’ve waited it may have gone down a little more but I didn’t want to risk it being all gone when I came back….I love using Pique and other “old lady” fabrics when I sew my vintage patterns…the fabrics just make the BEST dresses….I always score awesome “old lady” fabric on my trips to the thrift stores….its my favorite I swear….vintage is just so me; I love me some old school….

This time around I didnt have much to say, I just wanted to share my piccies and wish everyone well….Until next time good people….Share you makes with me too!….
